Operating systems: Parallels Desktop 11 brings Windows 10 to Mac

Currently, Windows 10 (Microsoft) and OS X EI Capitan (Apple) are entering the market. Companies, developers and consumers can install both operating systems on a Macintosh, even side-by-side, if they upgrade to Parallels Desktop version 11.

Parallels Desktop is software that creates a virtual Windows environment on a Mac. With Always on Cortana, it is even possible to use Microsoft’s virtual language assistant in Mac applications even if Windows 10 is not opened in the foreground.

With the Pro Edition, administrators can install a preview of Windows machines and a nested virtualisation for Windows – such as for Linux guest systems. Through this, the software lends itself to developers, power users and testers, who require several environments with virtual machines or a simulation of complex resource allocation.
