The Internet of Things: Companies should think about marketing software

In a recent press release, the market research institute Gartner points out that, in the course of the development of the Internet of Things (IoT), many companies in the manufacturing and processing industry are also becoming software providers for the first time ever.

Many companies are unaware of the fact that the programmes integrated into their devices provide them with opportunities to generate additional revenue. That is why analysts recommend investing in a management system for software licences and the associated usage rights. Gartner claims that those manufacturers who fail to do so run the risk of generating around 20% less revenue in 2020 than would actually be possible.
