Data security is now much more difficult to achieve than it was two years ago. That is what 57 % of companies say. The main reasons are the number of networked devices (66%), the increase in data traffic (56%) and new applications (51%).
Explaining the results of their survey, the ESG (Enterprise Strategy Group) states that many companies require heterogeneous cloud solutions, which in turn often lead to the security measures being too complex and confusing. Thus 52% of the companies surveyed operate between 51 and 150 firewalls with a few dozen to several hundred rules to ensure smooth operation and constant data security.
