Cyber crime, spyware and data misuse are the greatest risks facing companies in 2015. This opinion is shared by 17 % of all globally active corporate groups as well as risk advisers, underwriters, managers and claims representatives surveyed for the annual Allianz Risk Barometer.
The increase compared to 2014 is clearly noticeable: In the past year, only 12 % considered these to be key risks. This means that this area jumps from eighth to fifth place on the list of greatest business risks. At the head of the list are business interruptions and supply chain risks (46 %), followed by natural disasters (30 %), fire and explosions (27 % each) and legislative changes (18 %).
For this year’s Allianz Risk Barometer, a total of 516 participants in 47 countries were surveyed in October and November 2014. As these companies could be categorised into several industrial sectors, a total of 709 responses were registered. A summary of the results and the current ranking list are available on the international Allianz website. (Source: Allianz/rf)
