New technologies are critical to ensuring long-term company success. This was what was indicated by 95% of IT decision-makers who participated in a survey held by Solarwinds.
Tight budgets were seen as the biggest obstacle to implementation, followed by the difficulty of convincing decision-makers of the need or of the benefits. The problem is aggravated by the lack of IT staff required to set up and manage new solutions.
Over a third of the surveyed IT professionals also stated that it took longer than expected for a new technology to positively affect company success or end-user efficiency. IT department professionals want more resources, better training and more independence. (Source: Solarwinds/bs)
