Oracle has published a new release of their Application Manager for the Oracle Database Appliance. The software allows snapshots of both databases and virtual machines to be taken in quick succession, regardless of the volume of data.
This new version is characterised by the support of the Oracle ACFS (Oracle Automatic Storage Management Cluster File System). Therefore, it is now possible to upgrade the Oracle ASM (Automatic Storage Management) from database files to any type of file. In addition, the new Application Manager supports the current version of Oracle Database 12c.
