As schools and other organizations deploy more netbooks, tablets and notebooks, security and recharging are an increasingly important concern. Old-style carts are bulky and expensive and many lack anything more than the most basic anti-theft protection.
By introduction of the compact security cart DS-Netvault-M Datamation Systems wants to address those concerns. According to the company its the most compact, efficient, secure and affordable storage solution for mobile computing devices.
The new Netvault secures, stores and recharges from 14 to 24 netbooks, notebooks or tablets, depending on their physical dimensions and battery sizes. Its small footprint makes it easy to move and provides fast and easy access. This is especially important in tight spaces and makes the cart easy to store.
The Netvault’s three-point locking system ought to be very secure, protecting equipment from theft, vandalism and unauthorized access. According to Datamation its unique locking method is far more secure than conventional padlocks and provides better key control and management options. The cart is equipped with ample outlets for recharging batteries and powering peripherals. It is also equipped with wire management features, medical grade wheels and adjustable dividers.
The Netvault is sized to be compatible with technology from all major manufacturers, including the most common netbooks like the Dell Latitude 2100, Lenovo S10 and S12 IdeaPads, Asus Eee, HP’s new netbooks, MSI Wind, Acer Aspire One, Toshiba Portege as well as any new model notebooks with up to 15 inch screens. If technical requirements change, the cart’s interior can be reconfigured by users to accept different models.
