The inhabitants of Cologne can be particularly proud on their shopping street given that in seven years in a row it was six times at the top of the list of Germany´s most popular shopping avenues. From a purely mathematical point of view, on Saturdays in the period from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. one out of ten inhabitants of Cologne can be met in the Schildergasse.
This ranking is part of an annual study by the Kemper´s Jones Lang LaSalle consulting firm which analyses the frequentation of the 170 most important shopping streets in Germany.
