International aid programme for business start-ups

A survey among more than 6700 companies conducted by the »Enterpreneurs’ Organization« (EO) revealed that most companies fail within the first two years after their foundation. In order to help entrepreneurs to cope with initial entrepreneurial problems Mercedes Benz Financial, which is the American business division of DaimlerChrysler Financial Services, and the EO have launched an unprecedented aid project.

The project includes two programmes which are to pave the way for a successful business management for entrepreneurs: the so-called Accelerator Programme and the Global Student Entrepreneur Awards which is to honour student entrepreneurs.

The Global Student Entrepreneurs’ Award is a prize to be conferred to students who put into practice their ideas by launching there own businesses while at the same time still being at college or university. The Accelerator Programme by Mercedes-Benz Financial is to provide young entrepreneurs from Canada and the US with professional and well-targeted training in order to prepare them for becoming successful business people.

The exchange of experience among these young entrepreneurs will be facilitated by meetings organized regularly by the EO and by the interconnectivity of their internet site.
