German tax offices in March received as much revenue from taxes as never before. Revenue from federal and state taxes (without local taxes) rose by 6.4% as compared to March 2006 and amounted to 38.38 billion Euros. According to experts the reason is to be found in a combination of VAT increase, economic revival and mild winter weather. Revenue from corporate taxes also increased considerably by 14.5%.
