The IT sector is booming. More than 32.000 vacancies for IT experts were published in February alone, revealed the “Monster Employment Index“. This figure represents an increase by 14% as compared with January. The high demand for experts has effects on salaries too.
According to the salary study by Monster, the average annual salary of top managers in the IT sector rose from 75.000 Euros in 2006 to almost 91.000 Euros this year. Starting salaries for young professionals also increased by more than 2200 Euros as compared to 2005 and currently amount to 31.700 Euros per year.
Every month the Monster Employment Index establishes the number of vacancies published over the internet. The study itself is conducted by the Monster Worldwide career portal.
