“Europe’s 500”, the ranking of the fastest growing companies in Europe, has now officially been published. The list of winners is available on the internet. With 109 companies on the list Germany is the country strongest represented. The leading German companies ranked by Europe´s 500 are the Leipzig-based Spreadshirt AG, Hirschberg-based pharmexx GmbH as well as the Q-Cells AG located in Thalheim.
77 of the nominated German companies employ between 100 and 1000 people. The results of the ranking obtained in recent years have always shown that small and medium-sized entities generate a major part of workplaces. The Europe’s 500 award which is an initiative launched by fast growing European companies honours companies generating employment and featuring increased turnover.
The award ceremony takes place on November 25th at the Hofburg in Vienna and will be hosted by Mr. Günter Verheugen, vice president of the EU Commission, and the Austrian Chancellor, Dr. Wolfgang Schüssel.
