The focal point of a conference called “EU jurisdiction and consequences for German tax law” will be the opportunities and risks facing German companies in the wake of verdicts already passed or to be expected by the European Court of justice (EuGH). The conference taking place in Munich on the 13th of November is organized by the Association of German chambers of commerce and industry (DIHK) for Munich and Upper Bavaria. Participation is for free.
The organizers say that EuGH jurisdiction is of particular importance to German corporate taxation. According to them the current developments with regard to freedom of establishment, free capital flows and freedom of services have to be continuously monitored and analyzed. In Munich international and national experts on the fields of economy, politics and financial administration will report on the consequences of EuGH jurisdiction for the German tax law as well as on their personal practical experiences. The conference will be rounded off by a panel discussion. The event is part of this year’s “The company of Europe” campaign by the DIHK.
The event schedule, an invitation flyer as well as additional information may be downloaded from the website of the chamber of commerce for Munich and Upper Bavaria.
