Mrs Patrizia Ribaudo, journalist with the newspaper „Die Welt? and stock exchange expert, strongly advocates to invest in small and medium-sized companies which want to go public. Going public has become the rage and while the attention of investors is mainly drawn to the most recent protagonists of Air Berlin or Catoil, a growing number of small and medium-sized companies are gearing up for their own going public.
However, hardly nobody takes notice of this, although it is precisely the small and medium-sized companies which have been coming up with convincing business concepts over the years. Even the majority of investment trust managers are impressed by the growth figures of small and medium-sized companies.
Conclusion of the expert: Going publics and equities of small and medium-sized companies deserve more than just a short glance and are most of the time fairly priced. It remains to be seen whether the call of the expert meets with response by the investors in order to provide small and medium-sized companies with the capital they urgently need.
Download tip: The portal Gründerblatt offers a lot of useful information to small and medium-sized companies as well as to business starters, e.g. the PDF brochure by the Landesgewerbeamt Baden-Württemberg “Looking for equity capital – a short guide?, which provides a comprehensive insight into the financing opportunities for small and medium-sized companies as well as the advantages of a possible going public.
