For small and medium-sized companies offering innovative high tech solutions ranging from electronics to genetic engineering products it is very difficult to keep constantly updated on the latest changes in research and development, even though the Internet often provides quite comprehensive information in particular at the initial stages of new developments.
In future, a new German service by Google could significantly facilitate the gathering of this kind of information. This service is called Google Scholar and can at present be tested in a beta version. In contrast to the standard search engine, Google Scholar scans the Internet exclusively for scientific sources.
Just one tip: Starting from the section containing the search results just click on the link „Neueste Artikel” in the right-hand upper corner and you will obtain those search results which are most up to date. The search works extraordinarily fast and yields surprisingly extensive information on lots of search entries.
